Flood victims appreciated that the government of Punjab is compensating their damages caused due to havoc wreaked by recent floods across Punjab. They stated, “This is the true spirit of service that only Nawaz Sharif’s daughter, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, can deliver.”

Chief Minister Punjab noted that according to a report of Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), 1314 teams are actively engaged in flood-affected areas across 27 districts of the province. So far, survey teams have collected data of 41,735 flood victims. Details of crop losses from 28,632 farmers have also been compiled, covering 49,510 acres of the affected land. Moreover, data has been collected on 12,500 damaged houses, 603 livestock farmers lost their animals and 2459 livestock perished.

Director General PDMA stated that after due verification from PITB, PLRA and NADRA, financial assistance will be provided to all flood-victims across Punjab. ‘Maryam Nawaz Sharif Flood Relief ATM Cards’ will be issued to flood-victims to compensate their losses which they suffered due to devastating floods across Punjab.
