
Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner on Thursday to discuss Ukraine and frozen Russian assets. The talks aim to find solutions for the ongoing war and explore using funds for reconstruction. Putin announced the meetings during a Russian Security Council session.
The discussions will focus on allocating frozen Russian funds to help regions affected by the conflict. Putin said the talks are coordinated with the U.S. administration. Moscow is also reviewing the possible role of these funds in aiding Ukrainian recovery.

In addition, Putin is scheduled to meet Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Thursday. The meeting may involve using frozen Russian assets to support Palestinian recovery projects. Putin emphasized Russia’s readiness to provide $1 billion if necessary, citing Moscow’s “special relations with the Palestinian people.”
Putin also revealed that Russia’s Foreign Ministry is reviewing former U.S. President Donald Trump’s Board of Peace proposal. The initiative aims to contribute to a Middle East peace settlement. Moscow has not yet made a decision but is studying the plan carefully.
