Karachi Kings spend Rs58.5 million to sign Pakistan captain Salman Agha

Published on: February 11, 2026 4:00 PM

Karachi Kings strengthened their squad for the upcoming season by securing Pakistan’s T20I captain Salman Ali Agha for Rs58.5 million, marking one of the most significant domestic signings of the latest auction.

Moreover, Agha brings valuable league experience, having previously represented Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United, while consistently performing in high-pressure matches across multiple Pakistan Super League seasons.

The right-handed batter has appeared in 36 PSL games, scoring 730 runs at an average of 22.81, including three half-centuries, which highlights his ability to provide stability in the middle order.

Meanwhile, Australia’s explosive batter Max Bryant joined Islamabad United for Rs195 million, becoming one of the most expensive overseas acquisitions, while South African all-rounder Wiaan Mulder went unsold.

Similarly, several local and international players, including Tayyab Tahir, Mohammad Zulqarnain, Mohammad Omar Burki, Nahid Rana, and England’s Tom Lammonby, failed to attract interest from franchises.

Therefore, with Salman Agha’s arrival, Karachi Kings aim to strengthen leadership and batting depth, hoping his international experience will translate into consistent performances throughout the new season.
