The foreign ministers of Brazil, France, Spain, Turkey, and several other states have issued a joint condemnation of recent Israel’s measures that expand control over the West Bank.

According to a statement released by the Turkish Foreign Ministry, the decisions approved by Israel’s cabinet on February 15 involve reclassifying Palestinian land as “state land,” accelerating settlement activity, and entrenching Israeli administration in the occupied territory.
The joint statement was also endorsed by Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, and the heads of the Arab League and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.
The ministers described the moves as “a flagrant violation of international law” and warned that they amount to a “de facto annexation” of Palestinian land. They further noted that these decisions undermine ongoing efforts for peace and stability in the region and jeopardize prospects for meaningful regional integration.

The West Bank, largely under Israeli military control, remains a key area sought by Palestinians for a future state.
