Bilal Bin Saqib, Minister of State and Chairman of the Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (PVARA), represented Pakistan at the historic 10th anniversary of World Drone Congress in Shenzhen, where Pakistan was designated as the Country of Honour. The Congress is regarded as one of the world’s leading platforms for drone technology, autonomous systems, UAV innovation, and the low-altitude economy, bringing together participants from more than 120 countries and regions.

The Chairman addressed the global delegates during the opening ceremony on the convergence of Drones, Blockchain, Digital Assets, and Machine-to-Machine technologies as foundational pillars of the next industrial era.

In his keynote remarks, Bilal Bin Saqib expressed appreciation to the organizers and welcomed international experts, innovators, and scholars attending the Congress. He highlighted the transformative impact of drone technology integrated with digitalization and blockchain across logistics, supply chain management, data governance, smart cities, industrial oversight, and emergency response systems.

He noted that blockchain integration can significantly enhance the safety, transparency, and operational efficiency of drone ecosystems while strengthening trust and compliance across industries.

Bilal Bin Saqib further emphasized that Pakistan is actively advancing its digital economy and developing a forward-looking virtual assets regulatory framework designed to support innovation and emerging technologies. He stated that the integration of blockchain with drone technologies presents significant opportunities for cross-border collaboration and scalable global models for the future of autonomous systems.

He expressed hope that the Congress would deepen international cooperation in drone technology and digital assets, accelerate technological innovation and regulatory harmonization, and contribute to sustainable industrial growth and global digital transformation.

Concluding his address, the Chairman stated that the deep integration of drones and blockchain technology has the potential to become a major driving force behind the next wave of global industrial innovation and digitalization.
