Iranian envoy praises Pakistan role in peace mediation efforts

Iran’s ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moqadam, has expressed deep gratitude toward Pakistan’s civil and military leadership for their active mediation efforts aimed at easing tensions between Iran and the United States. He highlighted that Pakistan played a constructive and sincere role in helping reduce regional hostility and support diplomatic engagement. Consequently, the envoy described Pakistan’s involvement as valuable in promoting stability and peace.

The Iranian envoy said in a statement shared on social media platform X that Pakistan’s mediation efforts contributed significantly to recent progress in negotiations between Tehran and Washington. He noted that Pakistan’s leadership maintained consistent diplomatic engagement while encouraging both sides to pursue dialogue instead of continued confrontation. Furthermore, he said such efforts helped create cautious optimism about possible positive developments.

Reza Amiri Moqadam also revealed that Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi personally conveyed congratulations after returning from Tehran following diplomatic discussions. He stated that this communication reflected the growing trust and coordination between the two countries during a sensitive regional situation. In addition, he emphasized that these interactions demonstrated Pakistan’s commitment to supporting peaceful resolution of the Iran-US conflict.

The Iranian ambassador praised Pakistan’s top leadership, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi for their combined diplomatic efforts. He said their coordinated engagement played an important role in encouraging dialogue and reducing tensions between the United States and Iran. Moreover, he stressed that such mediation efforts were essential for achieving lasting peace in the region.

According to the envoy, Iran remains cautiously optimistic about the direction of ongoing negotiations, provided that all parties show commitment and seriousness toward finalizing agreements. He credited Iran’s own stance and resilience along with Pakistan’s mediation for creating space for potential diplomatic breakthroughs. As a result, both regional and international observers are closely watching developments in the peace process.

He further expressed heartfelt appreciation to Pakistan’s leadership and armed forces for their continued efforts in supporting dialogue and stability in the region. The envoy stated that sustained diplomatic coordination between Iran and Pakistan could help prevent further escalation and encourage long-term regional cooperation. Consequently, the statement reinforced Pakistan’s emerging role as a key mediator in sensitive international negotiations.
