
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei funeral is expected to be attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who is likely to visit Iran with a high-level delegation, according to official sources. The visit would reflect Pakistan’s participation in the funeral ceremonies of Iran’s late Supreme Leader.
Sources said Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, along with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, are also expected to accompany the prime minister during the visit.
According to Iranian media, farewell ceremonies for the late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei will be held on July 4 and 5. The main funeral prayer is scheduled to take place in Tehran on July 6.
Iranian media further reported that another funeral prayer will be offered in the holy city of Qom on July 7, allowing people from different parts of the country to pay their respects.
The Ayatollah Ali Khamenei funeral will conclude with his burial on July 9 at the Imam Reza Shrine in Mashhad, according to Iranian media reports.
