Mohsin Naqvi urges stronger global cooperation

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi called for stronger international cooperation to tackle growing global challenges during a summit in New York. He said joint efforts are essential to maintain peace, improve security, and address emerging threats. Governments, law enforcement agencies, and people worldwide stand to benefit from closer global collaboration.

Addressing the summit, Naqvi said the world is facing complex security and governance challenges that require collective action. He stressed that countries should work together to resolve disputes through peaceful dialogue. He added that international cooperation remains the most effective way to ensure lasting peace and stability.

Meanwhile, the interior minister highlighted the role of modern technology in preventing and combating crime. He urged countries to exchange knowledge, share successful policing practices, and strengthen institutional partnerships. According to Naqvi, regional cooperation can significantly improve public safety and enhance responses to cross-border criminal activities.

Furthermore, Naqvi emphasized the importance of professional training for police officers to improve law enforcement standards. He said stronger information sharing between countries would help authorities respond more effectively to evolving security threats. He also noted that coordinated international efforts are essential for protecting lives and maintaining regional peace.

Naqvi also paid tribute to Pakistan’s peacekeeping forces for their contributions to global peace and security. He described their professionalism and sacrifices as a source of national pride. The minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to promoting international cooperation, peaceful conflict resolution, and collective efforts for a safer world.
