Indian actor Disha Patani has praised Kevin Spacey’s directing style ahead of her Hollywood debut in Holiguards Saga — The Portal of Force. She said the filmmaker encouraged actors to experiment and draw from their personal experiences during filming. Patani also shared insights into the challenges of building a career in Hollywood.
Speaking about working with Spacey, Patani described him as one of the finest actors and said his understanding of performers created a supportive environment on set. She explained that he encouraged the cast to respond naturally to scenes rather than strictly following scripted emotions. According to Patani, this approach allowed actors greater creative freedom while developing their characters.

The actor also revealed that Spacey personally guided the cast through every scene before filming each day. She explained that representation, auditions, accessibility, visas, and other logistical requirements play major roles in the casting process. She added that actors benefit from spending time in the country where they hope to build their careers.
