The Pentagon said nearly 100 U.S. service members have been injured during the past two weeks of the conflict with Iran. The updated casualty figures highlight the growing human toll of the ongoing military confrontation.
Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell said about 100 American troops have been wounded since July 7. He added that the injuries varied in severity across those affected.

According to Parnell, 96 percent of the injured personnel have already returned to duty. The Pentagon released the updated figures as the conflict between Washington and Tehran continued.
Meanwhile, the Pentagon on Friday identified two U.S. soldiers killed in a recent Iranian attack. Earlier, the department had reported 14 military deaths and 427 injuries since February 28.
Moreover, officials warned that the death toll could increase following Iranian retaliatory attacks on U.S. military bases in northern Iraq and Jordan. Investigations into recent incidents remain ongoing.

Additionally, U.S. media reported that military authorities are examining unidentified human remains recovered from the attack site in Jordan. The assessment could help determine whether additional American personnel were killed.
Meanwhile, the United States has already acknowledged the deaths of three service members in Iranian attacks, while one soldier remains missing. The Pentagon is expected to provide further updates as casualty assessments and investigations continue.
