Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian accused the United States of violating commitments under the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). He said Iran achieved more than expected during the negotiations.
Speaking at the National Industry and Mining Day ceremony, Pezeshkian said the talks progressed gradually with Iran focused on resolving key issues. He claimed the other side later breached the agreement.

Pezeshkian said one of Iran’s main objectives during the negotiations was reopening the Strait of Hormuz for oil exports. He added that discussions also covered other important matters.
Meanwhile, the Iranian president said Tehran approached the talks with a step-by-step strategy. He did not provide further details about the alleged violations by the United States.
The comments came amid ongoing tensions between Tehran and Washington over regional security and energy routes. The Strait of Hormuz remains a key route for global oil shipments.
