Bilawal once again vows to create south Punjab province

Published on: May 10, 2018 11:12 PM

LAYYAH: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Thursday reiterated that it was only his party that could make south Punjab a separate province.

Addressing a public rally in Layyah, the PPP chairman criticised his political rivals accusing them of using the matter of a separate province for personal benefits.

He was apparently referring to the amalgamation of Janoobi Punjab Suba Mahaz (South Punjab Province Front) into Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

He said that the opponents would get nothing out of Layyah if they would continue to “use the matter for their personal interests”.

Bilawal thanked the people of Layyah for “always supporting the PPP” and promised his party would create the separate province after coming into power.

The PPP chairman slammed the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for “not establishing even a single university or hospital in the city”.

Bilawal’s today rally in Layyah was the part of the PPP’s election campaign across the Punjab.
