I will stand by my word of calling PTI leader Naeemul Haq a “thief”: Aziz

Published on: May 24, 2018 1:06 PM

ISLAMABAD: Current Minister for Privatisation Daniyal Aziz, while speaking to the media outside the accountability court on Thursday, restated his belief that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) leader Naeemul Haq was a thief, and said that he would stand by his earlier statement.

Aziz said that PTI leaders were claiming that his words provoked Naeemul Haq, instead of apologising for the incident.

He also added that PTI chairperson Imran Khan and leader Jahangir Tareen had previously admitted that they had stolen money.

Earlier, on Wednesday, Aziz had said that the PTI had pre-planned the incident against him to provoke him to retaliate.

The slapping incident occurred in a live talkshow on a Geo News programme ‘Aapas Ki Baat‘ on Tuesday night when Daniyal Aziz referred to Naeemul Haq as a thief.
