PM Khan to lay foundation stone of Mohmand Dam in January

KARACHI: Prime Minister Imran Khan will lay foundation stone of Mohmand Dam in the first week of January.

Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda on Wednesday said that Prime Minister will do the groundbreaking ceremony of Mohmand Dam that will produce 800 megawatts of electricity and will irrigate 17,000 acres of land.

In the meantime, Chairman Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) Muzzamil Hussain said that the dam will be completed in less than 5 years.

The chairman WAPDA further stated that in next five to six month the constructional work of Diamer-Bhasha Dam will also be started.
