Punjab has been experiencing varied weather conditions, including rain and dust storms. Parts of the province saw overcast skies recently, but meteorologists warn of increasing temperatures. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts that the weather system will exit the region by the end of the day.
Northern districts, such as Gujranwala and Rawalpindi, may receive light to moderate rainfall. However, the southern areas and Lahore division are likely to face dusty winds without significant rain. Consequently, temperatures are expected to rise steadily in the coming days.
A PMD official stated that regions receiving rainfall might experience brief relief from the heat. Nonetheless, the overall trend indicates that heat will intensify. In Lahore, minimum temperatures reached 24°C, with highs projected to reach 40°C later in the day.
Dust-laden winds could cause discomfort, especially in urban areas. While brief showers may provide some temporary cooling, residents should prepare for hotter conditions ahead.
