Hajj 2026 registration opens today under new early timeline

Published on: June 27, 2025 2:11 PM

LAHORE – The Ministry of Religious Affairs has officially announced the start of registration for Hajj 2026, beginning Friday, as part of a new early initiative directed by Saudi authorities. This move aims to ensure better planning and management of one of the largest annual religious gatherings in the world.

According to ministry officials, pilgrims can now submit their applications through designated banks across the country or register online via the Ministry’s official website. Both government-sponsored and private applicants are required to complete registration within the given timeframe to avoid disqualification.

The decision to start the process well in advance comes in response to repeated concerns from previous years regarding delays in administrative arrangements and travel planning. Officials hope this early timeline will streamline coordination with airlines, accommodation providers, and Saudi authorities.

Ministry sources emphasized the importance of submitting accurate documentation during the registration process. Incomplete or incorrect details may result in complications later, including visa processing or accommodation arrangements during the pilgrimage in Makkah and Madinah.

Moreover, the Ministry has also launched an awareness campaign to educate the public about the Hajj process, required documents, health guidelines, and travel protocols. Intending pilgrims are encouraged to stay updated through official channels to avoid falling prey to misinformation or fraudulent agents.

As preparations for Hajj 2026 gain momentum, government officials reaffirmed their commitment to facilitating a smooth, transparent, and spiritually fulfilling pilgrimage experience for all applicants.
