ISPR warns politicians: No one’s politics is above Pakistan’s state security

Published on: October 10, 2025 4:18 PM

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, spokesperson for Pakistan Army, emphasized respect for all politicians but stressed no politics stands above the state. Speaking at a press conference in Peshawar, he said security forces are filling governance gaps in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with great sacrifice. He accused a political and criminal nexus behind the ongoing terrorism in the region. He urged politicians not to involve the military in political disputes and avoid misleading propaganda.

He said the army rejects any individual who places personal political interests above the nation’s security. He firmly stated that no one has the right to trade Pakistan’s safety and people’s lives for personal gain. Chaudhry warned that those who help terrorists, regardless of their position, will face strict consequences. He assured that security forces will act decisively against all facilitators of terrorism. The army and the people stand united like a strong wall against these threats.

He asked politicians to cooperate and keep the military away from political conflicts.

The spokesperson highlighted that Pakistan’s nation stands firm against terrorism with courage and resilience. He said the public supports security forces fully in their mission. He warned that anyone aiding terrorists will face relentless pressure until eliminated. The army is committed to safeguarding the country’s sovereignty and people’s safety.
