Pakistan finalises playing XI for first South Africa Test

LAHORE – Pakistan have finalized the probable lineup for the first Test match against South Africa, scheduled to begin on October 12 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

Both teams will take part in a training session today (October 11) as they prepare for the much-anticipated opening clash of the series.

According to sources, Pakistan’s team management is considering a combination of two fast bowlers and two spinners for the first Test.

Interim head coach Azhar Mahmood has reportedly been impressed by Asif Afridi’s performance in training and is pushing for the left-arm spinner’s inclusion — potentially marking his Test debut.
