Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has urged Afghanistan to stop allowing militant proxies to use its soil against Pakistan. Speaking at the Pakistan Military Academy Kakul, he warned the Taliban regime to control these groups. He said the use of Afghan territory for attacks inside Pakistan was dangerous and unacceptable. Pakistan, he stated, would defeat these proxies with help from its people, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. The warning comes amid rising border tensions and deadly clashes between Pakistan and Afghanistan this week.
Meanwhile, Pakistan and Afghanistan agreed to a temporary ceasefire, which was extended as talks continued in Doha. Despite this, Pakistan blames banned group TTP for attacks, saying the militants operate from Afghanistan with Indian support. Kabul and New Delhi deny the claim, but Pakistan remains firm. Asim Munir emphasized that Pakistan’s law enforcement and military will eliminate all threats. He called on Afghans to choose peace over violence and work toward regional stability.

Turning to India, the Field Marshal criticized its actions after the Pahalgam attack earlier this year. India launched airstrikes on Pakistan in May, blaming it for the attack without evidence. Pakistan responded strongly, shooting down six Indian jets and targeting enemy bases. A ceasefire followed after U.S. mediation. Asim Munir accused India of using terrorism for political gain and urged impartial investigations. He warned that any future aggression would meet an even stronger response.
He also praised the Pakistani military’s professionalism and strength during recent conflicts. He said Pakistan’s defense doctrine is based on strong deterrence and full preparedness. He assured the public that not an inch of Pakistani land would be surrendered. He mentioned Operation Bunyān al-Marsūs as proof of the army’s resolve and public support. Pakistan’s weapons, he warned, could cause heavy losses to India in any future war.

The Field Marshal ended his speech by urging unity and national pride in defending Pakistan’s sovereignty.
