Pakistan pacer Irfan junior faces 5-match ban for ball tampering in Australia
SYDNEY: Pakistani fast bowler Irfan Junior has been handed a five-match suspension after being found guilty of ball tampering during a Victoria Premier League match in Australia.

Umpires accused Irfan of deliberately damaging the ball during the game, prompting an investigation by Cricket Victoria. Following the inquiry, the Cricket Victoria Tribunal confirmed the charge and imposed the ban.

Irfan Junior, who has played first-class cricket in Pakistan and featured in several Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchises, has been active in Australian domestic cricket since moving to the country. He initially represented local clubs before gaining clearance to participate in broader domestic competitions.

The five-match suspension affects his participation in Australia’s domestic cricket tournaments. Junior has not yet made a public statement regarding the ban, while cricket authorities continue to monitor the situation closely.
