BAJAUR: Authorities on Wednesday declared Shah Khani village in Nawagai tehsil cleared of terrorists, allowing displaced residents to return to their homes.

The district administration issued a notification, shared on the official Facebook page of Deputy Commissioner Shahid Ali Khan, confirming that residents who had vacated the village prior to the security operation could safely return.

Officials said similar efforts are underway in other areas, with the administration coordinating with security forces to ensure displaced families can go back home once their localities are secured.

Residents welcomed the development, with many expressing relief and beginning to return to Shah Khani, a hilly village in Nawagai tehsil, following the “successful” anti-terror operation.

The authorities reaffirmed their commitment to restoring normalcy and providing a safe environment for all communities in the district.
