Players celebrate Babar Azam's record century, Mohammad Rizwan's 100th match

LAHORE – Pakistan’s star batsman Babar Azam received a heartwarming celebration from teammates and staff after achieving the record for most ODI centuries by a Pakistani batter. The atmosphere inside the dressing room was filled with applause as players acknowledged his remarkable consistency and contribution to the national side.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan was also honoured on the same occasion for completing 100 international matches, marking a significant milestone in his career. A special cake-cutting ceremony was held for both players, symbolising the team’s appreciation for their continued excellence.

According to team officials, the gathering was cheerful and lively, with players sharing memorable moments and congratulating the duo for their outstanding achievements. Their performances have been crucial in Pakistan’s recent successes.

Babar struck his first ODI century in nearly two years during the Sri Lanka series, equalling Saeed Anwar’s long-standing record of 20 centuries. Pakistan went on to secure a clean sweep in the three-match ODI series, further boosting team morale.
