Rising toll in Gaza: Israeli strikes kill 3, thousands homeless

Published on: November 17, 2025 9:00 PM

Israeli forces attacked southern Gaza, killing three Palestinians and injuring several others. Helicopters bombed northern Rafah, targeting militant positions. Israel returned 15 mutilated bodies to Palestinian authorities, heightening tensions.

In Nablus, Israeli gunfire killed a young Palestinian during clashes. Meanwhile, southern Gaza faced repeated airstrikes, destroying homes and civilian infrastructure. Thousands of residents were forced to flee, and emergency services struggled to respond.

Arab media reported the overall death toll has reached 69,483, with over 170,000 injured since the conflict escalated. Hospitals are overwhelmed, and power and water shortages have compounded the crisis.

Recent heavy rains worsened conditions across Gaza. Hundreds of tents and makeshift shelters were submerged, leaving thousands of displaced families exposed to cold and flooding. Aid agencies face severe challenges reaching affected areas.

The ongoing attacks highlight the urgent need for international intervention. Analysts warn that without a ceasefire, casualties, destruction, and displacement will continue to rise.
