According to the complainant, Muhammad Abbas, Yousaf was tortured by Dolphin team leader Raza Sajid, three other police officials, the workshop owner, his nephew, and an accountant. The accused allegedly demanded Rs50,000 as bribe, and on refusal, Yousaf was subjected to further torture. He was later admitted to Faisalabad DHQ Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday. Police are conducting raids to arrest the remaining accused.

In a separate incident, a triple murder case was registered against eight individuals for killing former Jhang DBA president Mehar Muhammad Munir Sadhana, his driver, and a passerby on Gojra Road. Advocate Fazal Abbas Sadhana said the attackers sought revenge over a prior killing and opened fire on the car, while a mutton shop owner was injured.
