Fire Destroys Seven Houses

BALAKOT: A massive fire broke out in Jareed village in Kaghan Valley, destroying seven residential houses completely.

The blaze started for unknown reasons and quickly spread through the wooden structures, reducing homes to ashes.

Eyewitnesses reported that the fire engulfed houses within minutes, leaving families no time to save belongings.

Villagers formed human chains and used limited resources to control the flames, but the fire’s intensity and smoke made it extremely difficult.

Fire services could not reach the remote village immediately, allowing the fire to continue for several hours before partial containment.

Authorities plan to investigate the fire’s cause, while locals have demanded urgent relief, temporary shelters, and compensation for the victims.
