Lahore-Sialkot motorway closed due to fog

Lahore-Sialkot Motorway M11 was closed due to fog on Friday. The Motorway spokesperson said that the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway M11 has been closed due to fog. The purpose of the closure of motorways is to protect the lives and property of the public. Lane violation in fog can lead to dangerous accidents. Road users should strictly follow lane discipline. Citizens should prefer to travel during daylight hours

Fog reigns in Sialkot city and other airports including Lahore and its surroundings, visibility has become extremely low. All flight operations and schedules have been affected.

According to Airport Spokesperson Muhammad Umair Khan, particularly fog reigns in Sialkot International Airport and its surroundings. Due to the increase in the intensity of fog since evening, all flight operations and schedules have been partially affected.

For the safe operation of flights at Sialkot International Airport, a visibility of at least 500 meters is required, at present the visibility at the airport is still 100 meters. All air operations will run as per the schedule as soon as the intensity of fog decreases. Similarly, a poor visibility has been reported at Faisalabad, Multan airports. The airport administration is in touch with all airlines. Passengers are requested to obtain details about their flights from the airline.
