Ducky Bhai bribery case: three officers granted bail

Published on: December 22, 2025 10:03 PM

Bail has been granted to three officers of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency in connection with the bribery case involving popular Pakistani YouTuber Ducky Bhai, with the Lahore FIA Special Central Court approving applications for Assistant Director Mujtaba, Inspector Ali Raza, and Sub-Inspector Asar Gujjar, each required to deposit a surety of one hundred thousand rupees, while the court clarified that only those meeting the deposit condition would be released, ensuring compliance with legal procedures and safeguarding the ongoing investigation.

Investigation details indicate that the case also involves allegations of extortion, with the accused maintaining that no affected party has come forward so far, and the defense, led by advocate Mohsin Cheema, argued that the officers were not directly involved in any bribery activity, stressing that the charges lack evidence, which contributed to the court’s decision to grant bail for the three officers while maintaining procedural safeguards for the investigation’s continuation and integrity.

However, the court rejected the bail application of another accused, Salman Aziz, who remains in custody pending further review, highlighting that the judiciary continues to examine individual roles and evidence carefully, ensuring that accountability is maintained for all involved parties, and signaling the court’s commitment to balancing legal rights with the need for thorough investigation in high-profile cybercrime cases.

The case continues to attract public attention due to Ducky Bhai’s prominence on social media, while law enforcement agencies have reaffirmed their commitment to pursuing justice efficiently, and the court proceedings are expected to resume with additional hearings to determine the responsibilities of other accused individuals and the overall course of the bribery and extortion investigation.
