Alleged merit violations hit Khuddam-ul-Hujjaj 2026 selection

Published on: December 24, 2025 9:30 PM

Alleged irregularities have surfaced in the selection of government employees for Khuddam-ul-Hujjaj 2026. Applicants have filed complaints on the Prime Minister’s portal over merit violations. Selection messages sent to candidates also appeared publicly online.

According to complaints, the merit list was prepared without physical tests, disadvantaging new applicants. On the night of December 20, specific candidates received selection messages immediately after the portal uploaded results. Physical tests for successful candidates were reportedly dropped.

Applications for Khuddam-ul-Hujjaj were invited from government employees until November 30. Affected candidates submitted requests to the Prime Minister’s complaint portal and the Federal Ombudsman. They requested that selection be conducted strictly on merit.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs said 70% of selected members are returning participants, while 30% are new. Seats are allocated to all provinces according to population. Applications were received from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and former FATA regions.
