
The University of Health Sciences (UHS) on Thursday issued the first selection list for MBBS admissions in private sector medical colleges across Punjab, with the lowest closing merit recorded at 75.9465 per cent.

According to a UHS spokesperson, the highest merit in the first list was recorded at Al Aleem Medical College, Lahore, which closed at 92.7136pc. It was followed by Sharif Medical and Dental College, Lahore, with a closing merit of 91.6586pc, and Shalamar Medical and Dental College, Lahore, at 90.6364pc. FMH College of Medicine and Dentistry, Lahore, closed at 90.1348pc.
Other colleges with relatively high closing merits included Lahore Medical and Dental College at 88.6924pc, Akhtar Saeed Medical and Dental College, Rawalpindi, at 88.0869pc, and its Lahore campus at 87.9848pc. Rashid Latif Medical College, Lahore, closed at 86.2929pc, while Rehbar Medical and Dental College, Lahore, and Continental Medical College, Lahore, recorded merits of 85.9455pc and 85.3313pc, respectively.
The spokesperson said that a total of 4,350 MBBS seats were available at 33 private medical colleges across Punjab in the first selection cycle.
Candidates selected in the first list have been directed to deposit the initial admission fee by December 30. The admission fee challan of Rs600,000 can be downloaded from the UHS admission portal.
Applicants have also been given the option to apply for upgradation or stay through the online portal. Those opting for upgradation are required to submit online joining by uploading the paid fee receipt, while candidates admitted to their first choice and opting to stay must submit written joining at their respective colleges and pay the remaining fee by the due date.

UHS officials said that detailed instructions and the complete merit list were available on the university’s website. The second selection list for MBBS admissions in private medical colleges is scheduled to be issued on January 1, 2026.
