Senior Vice President Haji Akhtar Kakar expressed deep sorrow over the incident and assured affected shopkeepers that the chamber would stand by them during this difficult period. “The fire at Haleem Plaza has pushed many traders into severe financial distress, making immediate government intervention unavoidable,” he said.

Kakar met with a delegation of affected traders, led by Seth Sher Bazai and Sardar Alam Zaib Tareen, to listen to their concerns and discuss possible measures for compensation and relief. He reiterated the chamber’s commitment to providing all possible support to help the traders recover from their losses.

The senior QCCI official urged authorities to take emergency-level measures, including financial assistance, to mitigate the economic impact of the blaze. He emphasized that swift action was essential to prevent long-term damage to the livelihoods of those affected.
