iPhone 18 Pro leaks suggest minor design changes, major performance upgrades

iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max leaks: Design, camera, battery, price, launch timeline and more - India Today

Apple’s next-generation iPhone series, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, is expected to launch in September 2026, but fans anticipating a major design overhaul may be disappointed. Recent leaks indicate that the new models will retain the same screen sizes as the iPhone 17 series, signaling minimal changes to the physical appearance.

Early rumors had suggested features like a smaller Dynamic Island or under-display Face ID, but a tip from Weibo insider Fixed Focus Digital claims that strong sales of the iPhone 17 lineup have reduced the need for drastic visual changes. The standard iPhone 18 and Pro models are reportedly set to feature 6.27-inch displays, while the Pro Max will offer a 6.86-inch screen.

Despite limited aesthetic updates, Apple is said to be prioritizing performance improvements. The iPhone 18 series is expected to be powered by the A20 and A20 Pro chipsets, marking Apple’s first processors built on a 2nm process, which should deliver notable gains in speed and energy efficiency.

Pro model specifications reportedly include 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM, a triple 48-megapixel rear camera system, and an 18-megapixel front camera. There are also rumors of a new “iPhone Fold” launching alongside the Pro models, while the standard iPhone 18 may debut separately. Pricing is expected to remain similar to the iPhone 17 generation.

These leaks suggest that Apple is focusing on refined performance rather than radical design changes, emphasizing power, efficiency, and camera improvements over cosmetic updates. Fans can expect incremental but meaningful enhancements when the series is officially unveiled later this year.
