Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq intensifies with Bagram strike

Published on: March 4, 2026 2:30 PM

Pakistan has escalated its retaliatory campaign against the Afghan Taliban regime by striking the strategically important Bagram Airbase in Afghanistan. Officials described the move as a direct response to what they called continued aggression from across the border. According to initial reports, the Pakistan Air Force carried out precision air operations targeting key military infrastructure. The strike marks one of the most significant actions since the launch of Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq.

Security sources stated that the air operation destroyed one aircraft hangar and two major warehouses at the airbase, causing substantial structural damage. Officials added that follow-up strikes and defensive measures remain active as tensions persist along the frontier. The government maintains that the campaign aims to neutralize hostile capabilities threatening national security. Authorities also stressed that operations are focused on military assets rather than civilian areas.

In addition, Pakistan reported heavy losses inflicted on Afghan Taliban and affiliated elements during the ongoing campaign. So far, officials claim that more than 400 fighters have been killed and over 630 others injured in coordinated air and ground actions. The military has targeted 51 locations inside Afghanistan through aerial operations. These strikes, according to officials, aim to dismantle command centers, ammunition depots, and logistical hubs.

Earlier operations also included strikes in Jalalabad, where forces reportedly destroyed an ammunition depot and a drone storage facility. Meanwhile, ground operations by the Pakistan Army resulted in the destruction of 188 Afghan Taliban check posts and the capture of 31 others. Officials further stated that 188 tanks, armored vehicles, and artillery pieces were eliminated during these engagements. The scale of damage indicates a broad and sustained military push.

Furthermore, the Information Minister confirmed that Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq is continuing with full intensity to secure Pakistan’s borders and deter further aggression. Authorities emphasize that the campaign reflects a calculated strategy designed to weaken militant infrastructure. However, regional observers warn that escalating hostilities could heighten instability in the wider area. As developments unfold, both military and diplomatic channels remain under close scrutiny.
