Donald Trump said Iran is willing to negotiate a ceasefire amid ongoing United States military strikes but insisted that the proposed terms are not acceptable yet. The remarks came as tensions continued to rise between United States and Iran following recent attacks on strategic targets.
During a telephone interview, Trump claimed that Iran had shown interest in reaching an agreement but said the current conditions were insufficient for Washington. He also alleged that US strikes had severely damaged Kharg Island, an important Iranian oil export hub in the Persian Gulf.

Moreover, Trump raised uncertainty about the condition of Iran’s newly appointed supreme leader, suggesting that there has been little public confirmation of his well-being. According to him, some reports even claim the leader might not be alive, though the situation remains unclear.
Meanwhile, the United States has increased its military presence in the region as the conflict intensifies around the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global shipping route. Reports indicate that the amphibious assault ship USS Tripoli (LHA-7), carrying thousands of Marines and sailors, is heading toward the Middle East to reinforce American forces.

At the same time, Iran warned civilians in the United Arab Emirates to stay away from ports, docks, and facilities linked to the United States, calling them potential targets. Iranian officials accused Washington of launching attacks from locations in the region, though the UAE denied those claims.
In another development, Iranian media reported that at least fifteen people were killed after airstrikes targeted a factory in Isfahan. Regional tensions continue to grow as military operations, diplomatic accusations, and warnings from both sides raise concerns about a broader conflict.
