Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari called for urgent collective action to safeguard water resources on World Water Day. Addressing regional issues, Bilawal criticized India’s unilateral approach to the Indus Waters Treaty. He cautioned that attempts to weaken or suspend the agreement would violate international law and threaten regional stability. He also condemned upstream restrictions and dam constructions that could manipulate water flow, calling such actions irresponsible and unacceptable.
Finally, Bilawal urged the international community to uphold global agreements and support collaborative water management.
