Security forces kill eight terrorists along Afghan border

Published on: April 3, 2026 3:47 AM

Security Force successfully foiled the movement of a group of khwarij along Pakistan Afghanistan border in North Waziristan and killed eight khwarij belonging to Indian proxy Fitna al Khwarij in a precise and skillful engagement.

“Own troops effectively engaged this group of khwarij. As a result of precise and skillful engagement, eight khwarij belonging to Indian proxy, Fitna al Khwarij were sent to hell. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from Indian sponsored killed khwarij,” said a news release issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

“The engagement once again substantiate our repeated stance regarding the abject failure of Afghan Taliban regime to ensure effective border management on their side of the border. Afghan Taliban Regime must fulfil its obligations and deny the use of Afghan soil by khwarij and involvement of its citizens in terrorism inside Pakistan,” the news release said.

The Security Forces of Pakistan remain resolute and unwavering in their commitment to defend the nation’s frontiers. Sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored Kharji found in the area as relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision “Azm e Istehkam” (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country, it further said.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday paid tribute to the Security Forces for their successful operation against Fitna-al-Khawarij militants in North Waziristan, in which eight terrorists were killed near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

In a statement from the presidency, President Zardari commended the professionalism of the security forces for their effective and timely action against the terrorists. He added that the force’s role in defending the homeland and safeguarding the country’s borders was a matter of national pride. He also urged the Afghan interim government to ensure that its territory is not used for terrorist activities against Pakistan.

In a separate statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated the officers and personnel of the Security Forces for their professional capabilities demonstrated during the operation and praised them for eliminating eight Khawarij terrorists. He reaffirmed that the fight against terrorism would continue until its complete eradication and said that he, along with the entire nation, stood shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan’s armed forces in the country’s unwavering resolve against terrorism.
