Adherence to Constitution only path to progress: Sindh CM

Governor of Sindh Syed Nehal Hashmi and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah have said that the Constitution of Pakistan was a symbol of the country’s survival, security and federation.

In their separate messages on Constitution Day on Friday, they said that protecting the Constitution was a national duty of every Pakistani and no compromise would be made on it.

They said that 1973 Constitution guaranteed fundamental rights, freedom of expression and religious freedom. Equipping youth with IT and modern knowledge is the foundation of a bright Pakistan, they expressed and added that the rule of law and adherence to constitutional limits were the path to progress.

The Governor said that national unity was essential for upholding the Constitution and achieving economic stability.

He said that the federal government would continue full cooperation for the development and progress of Karachi and all districts of Sindh.

Sindh Chief Minister said that Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto gave the nation a unanimous, democratic and Islamic Constitution.

He said that the Pakistan Peoples Party believes in the supremacy of the Constitution.
