Iran US talks to resume soon: Khawaja Asif

Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that a new round of talks between Iran and the United States will begin soon. He expressed optimism that diplomatic engagement between both sides is likely to resume in the near future. His remarks come amid ongoing regional efforts to stabilize tensions. The statement reflects cautious confidence in the negotiation process.

Khawaja Asif said there are still strong chances for renewed dialogue. He added that discussions held so far have produced positive signals. He noted that no negative developments have emerged from the talks. According to him, the overall direction remains constructive.

The minister said that optimism is growing after recent diplomatic interactions. He indicated that both sides appear open to continued engagement. He stressed that the situation is not heading toward breakdown. Instead, it is moving toward further negotiation rounds.

Responding to a question about Pakistan’s role in regional decision-making, he said ultimate decisions rest with God. He avoided direct political claims about Pakistan leading regional outcomes. His comments came during an informal media interaction.
