Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Doha on Thursday, marking the second leg of his three-nation tour aimed at strengthening diplomatic ties and advancing regional peace efforts.

Upon arrival, the premier and his delegation were warmly received by Sultan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi, with a ceremonial guard of honour presented by the Qatari Armed Forces. The visit follows his earlier stop in Jeddah, where he held high-level meetings with Saudi leadership.

During his stay, Prime Minister Shehbaz is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. The talks are expected to focus on enhancing economic cooperation, strengthening bilateral relations, and discussing regional security challenges, particularly in light of ongoing tensions in the Middle East.
Senior members of the Pakistani delegation include Ishaq Dar, along with key government officials tasked with advancing Pakistan’s diplomatic and economic agenda.
Officials say the visit underscores Islamabad’s efforts to engage key regional partners at a time of evolving geopolitical dynamics. Pakistan has recently taken on a prominent mediatory role, hosting high-level discussions between the United States and Iran aimed at de-escalating conflict in the region.
Following his visit to Qatar, the prime minister will travel to Türkiye, where he is set to participate in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum. He is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with global leaders, including Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
