Pakistan, Australia urge peaceful conflict resolution

Pakistan and Australia have called for peaceful resolution of global conflicts through continued dialogue. The statement came during a phone call between senior officials from both countries. The discussion focused on regional tensions and their wider global impact.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to promoting constructive engagement and diplomacy. He shared details of recent Islamabad talks held earlier this month. He said dialogue remains essential for reducing tensions and building stability.

Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in facilitating diplomatic engagement. She specifically acknowledged Pakistan’s role in encouraging dialogue between Iran and the United States. She said such efforts help reduce risks of further escalation.

Both sides expressed concern over the broader impact of global conflicts on the world economy. They particularly highlighted risks for developing countries facing economic pressure. They agreed that peaceful resolution is essential for long-term stability.

Officials also reiterated the importance of continued international cooperation on conflict prevention. Pakistan emphasized its ongoing support for diplomatic initiatives and multilateral dialogue. Australia echoed similar views, stressing sustained engagement to manage global tensions.
