The prices of gold decreased in the local market on Monday, with 24 karat gold per tola falling by Rs 5,300 to settle at Rs 488,362 compared to Rs 493,662 on the previous trading day, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold declined by Rs 4,544 to Rs 418,691 from Rs 423,235, whereas 10 grams of 22 karat gold went down by Rs 4,165 to Rs 383,814 against Rs 387,979. In the international market, the price of gold decreased by $53 to $4,660 per ounce from $4,713. Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola remained unchanged at Rs 8,513, while the price of 10 grams of silver also stayed constant at Rs 7,298. The price of silver in the international market remained unchanged at $80.29 per ounce.
