A passenger bound for Sri Lanka, identified as Nadeem Abbas, was offloaded at Karachi airport after authorities discovered objectionable material on his mobile phone.
According to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Nadeem had an agreement to marry an Australian citizen. The FIA spokesperson stated that the suspect admitted to previously attempting to travel to Europe via Iran in 2019.
Further, the spokesperson revealed that Nadeem Abbas was deported from the Maldives in 2022.
