According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the premier was received at Quetta Airport by Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, Sarfraz Bugti, along with senior civil and military officials. During the visit, the prime minister is scheduled to chair a high-level meeting to assess the province’s security environment and review ongoing measures aimed at maintaining peace and stability.

The PMO said senior members of the federal cabinet accompanying the prime minister include Economic Affairs Minister Ahad Khan Cheema, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar and Adviser on Political Affairs **Rana Sanaullah>.

The visit comes a day after the military said that at least 42 people, including security and law enforcement personnel, had lost their lives in a series of attacks and subsequent security operations in Balochistan since July 5. Military officials said the incidents included attacks near Quetta, Ziarat and Bela, where security forces responded with counterterrorism operations.

During a media briefing in Rawalpindi, Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said security forces would continue operations against those responsible for the attacks and warned that militants and their facilitators would face decisive action. He also alleged that India and elements operating from Afghanistan were linked to the recent attacks, claims that have not been independently verified.
