‘He should not have said it’, Yasmin responds to IK’s statement about PML-N supporters

Published on: July 15, 2018 1:07 PM

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Yasmeen Rashid on Saturday said in an interview to a local TV channel that Chairman PTI Imran Khan should not have said those words which he earlier used regarding Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) supporters.

Earlier, on Friday PTI Chairman IK had termed all those PML-N workers as ‘donkeys’ who went to the airport for welcoming Nawaz Sharif on his arrival. At a rally in Narowal, he said that one must be a donkey if he/she goes to receive Nawaz Sharif. He also said that such workers are not worthy of being called human beings, as they are to put up a welcome for a ‘thief’ who looted the wealth of this nation.

On July 14, Saturday, PTI’s candidate from NA-125, Dr. Yasmin Rashid, responded to the question, that ”whether she condemns Khan’s statement about the PML-N workers who went for Nawaz Sharif’s welcome as everybody has the right to campaign and convince masses”.

While answering the question she said, ”He (Imran Khan) should not have said that. At times we humans are driven by emotions”.
