Pepe Reina wants to stay in Milan

Published on: July 29, 2018 9:29 PM

Pepe Reina has been in demand since the beginning of his career. He has a very strong resume with clubs like Napoli, Liverpool and Munich on it.

He joined the struggling AC Milan on a free transfer and has been given the No 25 shirt on his request.

According to reports, Chelsea was said to be his next destination as the blues were eager to sign Reina as Madrid have almost secured the signatures of Courtois.

Maurizio Sarri, might be the other reason why this was rumoured as they both have played important roles in the success of Napoli.

But Pepe on the other hand has denied all the rumors and is showing no interest in wearing a blue shirt as he recently stated “I have been lucky enough to play for great teams in my career, and Milan is definitely one of the most important.”

He further added “I am happy and honoured to wear this shirt and to have played in my first match. I want to play at least 150 matches in this shirt.”

Pepe Reina is a household name in England as he has served Liverpool for nine years and has been a phenomenal performer throughout his career.
