Published on: November 13, 2018 6:37 PM

KARACHI: Former captain Shahid Afridi is no more a part of Karachi Kings in the fourth edition of PSL.

Pakistan Cricket Board released the names of the players retained by the franchises earlier today and Karachi Kings retained Colin Munro, Babar Azam and Mohammad Amir in Platinum category while Colin Ingram was dropped one category down to Diamond and Shahid Afridi was not retained by Karachi Kings.

The other players released by Karachi Kings are Luke Wright, Usama Mir, Khurram Manzoor, Mohammad Irfan Junior and Eoin Morgan.

On the other hand, Lahore Qalandars have released Chris Lynn and Brendon McCullum and they have already traded Umar Akmal and Sunil Narine as well. The other players released by Lahore Qalanders are Sohail Khan, Mitchell McClenaghan, Mustafizur Rahman, Bilawal Bhatti and Gulraiz Sadaf.

As far as Zalmi is concerned, they have retained Wahan Riaz and Hassan Ali in the platinum category and they have released Tamim Iqbal, Haris Sohail, Chris Jordan, Hammad Azam and Andre Fletcher, while Hafeez had already parted ways with them earlier.

Quetta have retained Sarfraz Ahmed in the platinum category while they have Sunil Narine in the same category.

Two times winners Islamabad United have retained Luke Ronchi, Faheem Ashraf and Shadab Khan in their Platinum category which means that they will be without a Platinum pick in the draft.

At last, Multan Sultans have only retained Shoaib Malik and they have released Imran Tahir and Keiron Pollard.

The final draft of PSL 2019 will be held on 20th November in Islamabad.
