Smell of PML-N’s ‘political trash’ will end soon: PTI

Published on: May 12, 2019 3:37 AM

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Saturday said Khawaja Asif always gets appreciation from Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif by showing his skills to use abusive language against the political opponents.

Reacting to the recent statement passed by Khawaja Asif, she said it is the policy of the PML-N leadership, not the fault of Khawaja Asif, to tell a lie so adamantly that no one can differentiate between a lie and the truth. She said the PML-N has been misleading the people by telling a lie on different issues, hoping that the smell of PML-N’s 30-year ‘political trash’ will come to an end soon.

Dr Firdous said the PML-N members not only looted Utility Stores but also emptied the national exchequer to fill their own pockets. She said the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government has given Rs 2 billion Ramazan package to facilitate the faithfuls during the holy month. Last year, she said the PML-N had given lesser subsidy as compared to the package given by the PTI government, adding that a huge amount of subsidy had lapsed in 2018 due to inefficiency of the previous government.

In a tweet, Dr Firdous said that the goal of Prime Minister Imran Khan is the permanent treatment of the cancer spread in the system. She said people of Pakistan are facing difficulties with courage and determination along with their captain. She said the development of strong autonomous institutions, eradication of corruption, poverty and inflation and development of backward areas are top priorities of the government.

Dr Firdous said the history is witness that the intense opposition and criticism always strengthened Imran Khan’s resolve to reach the destination. She said Imran Khan always proved his critics wrong by his hard work, determination and focused approach.
