Four FC men martyred in Kurram Agency IED blast

KURRAM: At least four security officials, including a captain were martyred and three others were left injured after an IED blast struck Kurram Agency’s Kharlachi area, on Sunday morning.

According to the political administration of the agency, three security officials died instantly while three were reportedly injured, meanwhile the bodies of the martyred and the injured were taken to a hospital in Parachinar the agency’s headquarters.

The officials martyred in the explosion were identified as Captain Husnain, Sepoy Qadir , Saeed Baz and Jumma Gul, meanwhile the injured personnel were namely Sepoy Zahir, Naik Anwar and Lance Naik Sher Afzal.

One of the injured security officials, Captain Hasnain also succumbed to his injuries later on.

Security agencies launched a search operation after the incident.

A statement released by the Army’s Media Wing, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that the personnel who lost their lives were part of a search party that was looking for the kidnappers of the foreign family that was rescued back on Wednesday.

Following the incident, the border crossing between Pakistan and Afghanistan, Kharlachi was shut down until further notice.
