Pakistan condemns Israeli attacks in call with Iran’s foreign minister

Published on: June 14, 2025 1:28 AM

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Ishaq Dar, spoke with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Friday. During the phone call, Dar strongly condemned Israel’s airstrikes on Iranian territory.

He expressed Pakistan’s deep concern over Israel’s actions. Dar said the attacks violated international law and the United Nations Charter. He called the Israeli aggression “unjustified” and warned it could increase tensions across the region.

Dar offered Pakistan’s full support to Iran in its efforts for peace and regional stability. He assured the Iranian leadership that Pakistan stood firmly with the Iranian people. He also stressed the need to avoid further conflict in the Middle East.

The Pakistani foreign minister expressed deep sorrow over the civilian deaths. He offered heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families and called the loss of innocent lives “deeply tragic.” Dar also mentioned Pakistan’s readiness to help protect Pakistani pilgrims currently in Iran.

Both foreign ministers discussed recent developments and agreed to stay in contact. They reaffirmed their commitment to peace, regional security, and stronger cooperation. The call followed deadly Israeli strikes that reportedly killed top Iranian military officers and nuclear scientists.
