President, PM condemn Kalat terror attack, vow justice for victims

Published on: July 16, 2025 9:41 PM

ISLAMABAD, July 16 — President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Kalat, Balochistan, that claimed the lives of innocent passengers traveling from Karachi to Quetta. The attack was carried out by Indian-backed group “Fitna-ul-Hindustan”, according to official sources.

In their statements, both leaders expressed deep grief and sorrow over the tragic incident. They called the targeting of unarmed civilians a barbaric act aimed at destabilizing peace in Balochistan. The president described the attackers as enemies of humanity, while the prime minister vowed that those responsible would face a heavy price.

The President and PM extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the recovery of the injured. They also directed authorities to ensure immediate medical assistance to the victims and provide full support to their families.

In a press statement, the prime minister declared that terrorists attacking innocent lives would not go unpunished. He reaffirmed the government’s full commitment to eradicating terrorism from the country with the support of security forces and the public.

President Zardari echoed this resolve, saying, “With the support of the nation, we will eradicate the cancer of terrorism.” Both leaders emphasized that such acts only strengthen Pakistan’s determination to secure lasting peace and justice.
