Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Sunday praised the Pakistan Air Force, calling it a true symbol of national pride and dignity, while paying tribute to its martyrs and heroes.
In his message issued from Karachi, Bilawal said September 7 holds historic significance, representing unmatched courage, sacrifice, and professionalism of the air force that continues to inspire the nation even today.
He recalled the PAF’s bravery during the 1965 war, noting that the same spirit was demonstrated in the recent conflict with India, where Pakistani pilots successfully shot down six enemy fighter jets.
The PPP chairman emphasized that this achievement remains a shining example of skill and valor, proving that Pakistan’s sovereignty is inviolable and reminding the world of the air force’s unmatched strength.
Bilawal also highlighted the role of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, crediting her for gifting missile technology, modernizing the air force, and pressuring the Clinton administration to deliver F-16 fighter aircraft to Pakistan.
He further stated that during Benazir Bhutto’s tenure, Pakistan and China signed a landmark agreement for the joint production of JF-17 Thunder aircraft, which today stands as a pillar of the nation’s defense.
